The Redvers Oil Show will not go on this year, but organizers plan on bringing it back in two years.

Redvers – With the province banning gatherings or more than 25 people, it comes as no surprise that the Redvers & District Oil Show committee has decided to cancel this year’s show.

The committee said by email late afternoon Friday, March 20, “It is with great sadness that we, the Committee Board Members of the Redvers & District Oil Show, have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Oil Show.

“The COVID-19 threat has placed us all in a tough position. Due to all of the uncertainty surrounding it, as well as the current health regulations, with the date of the show rapidly approaching, we felt it was in the best interest of everyone’s health that we cancel for this year.

“For those of you who have already made payment, we will be returning those funds immediately.  If anyone has any questions or concerns, please direct them to redversoilshow@gmail.com.

This is not the end, however. The email closed by saying, “Stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you all at the next show in 2022.”
