Moose Jaw police dog Argo nabs crime suspect during first day on the job

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Good boy!

A Moose Jaw police dog is getting praise for apprehending a crime suspect during his first day on the job.

Police say Argo, a 19-month-old German shepherd, tracked a man wanted on warrants to a frozen river near some railroad tracks.

His handler deployed the dog, which held the suspect until officers arrived.

Argo is one of two active police service dogs in Moose Jaw.

Two more are to start training next week. (CJME)
