Video: This is the impact of LNG for Australia

The Aussies haven't dragged their heels on getting LNG to market

In Canada, we have been dragging our heels on fully developing liquified natural gas, or LNG. In Australia, they aren't. The Shell Prelude floating LNG production vessel is the world's largest floating LNG platform.

It's 488 metres long, making it 151 metres longer than a Gerald R. Ford class aircraft carrier. It's displacement is equal to six aircraft carriers, or over half the U.S. navy's fleet of supercarriers.

Shell is the largest investor in LNG Canada, with a 40 per cent share.
