FILLMORE, Sask. — Mounties in Saskatchewan have charged an 18-year-old in the death of his grandfather.
Fillmore RCMP say they received a silent 911 call on Tuesday and were able to track it to a rural residence.
Officers found the 18-year old wandering around the farmyard near Fillmore, southeast of Regina.
They discovered the body of a 69-year-old man a short distance away.
The teen was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and indignity to human remains.
Police say he had been living with his grandfather.
The accused was to appear in Estevan provincial court Thursday by phone.
