CP Rail workers and crane crews responded to the rail yard in Weyburn, as a tanker car derailed near 10th and 11th Streets and Railway Avenue as of late Tuesday morning.

Few details are known about the derailment as yet. It appears just a single car went off the rails, with an engine and two tanker cars sitting nearby.

The tanker car is identified on the side as from “Abengoa Bioenergy”, with a capacity of some 30,000 gallons or 113,800 litres.

Two large cranes moved in at noon Tuesday to lift the car to repair it. It does not appear there were any leaks from the tanker car.
